“Vietnam and India, historically old friends are now modern strategic allies”, said Vietnamese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, while addressing the Vietnam Awareness Seminar 2022 held recenlty. More than 60 Principals, Directors and Coordinators from the premier schools of Haryana and Delhi attended this seminar. Ambassador highlighted the culture, education, economy and tourism of Vietnam through a detailed visual presentation. He also talked about the deep bond between the two countries shared during their respective struggles for freedom. He shared some rare videos and photos of Vietnamese Great Leader Ho Chi Minh and Indian Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru. The travel packages and presentation of tourist destinations were prepared by Vietravel, the biggest travel company of Vietnam. Mr. Vishal Gahrana, Vice Chairman, Athena Ventures presented a tailor-made itinerary for trip of Indian students to Vietnam. The participants highly appreciated the fact that Vietnam is an ideal destination for school tours. They appreciated the cultural, educational and social comfort the Indian students can feel in Vietnam. High level of safety and children friendly tourist attractions in Vietnam felt like added advantages for them. The prospects of collaborative academic projects among the students of both the countries also encouraged them to visit Vietnam.
Ms. Heemal Handoo Bhat, principal, Hansraj Model School was very impressed by the proposed travel package and expressed interest in presenting it to the students of her school next week. Many other Principals also asked to be contacted soon for finalising the travel plans.
