Chandigarh, (Rishika Rajput) -  Air quality of Haryana is again on its bad terms. It is one of the most polluted state in the country on Tuesday. Not only this, among the most polluted cities of the country, Jind stood first and Manesar in second place. The air quality index (AQI) of both the places stood at 428 and 410 respectively.

On the other hand, Delhi was the third most polluted city with an AQI of 403. 17 cities of Haryana were included in the list of 'very serious' and 'severe' category of 141 cities on the website of Central Pollution Control Board. Out of these, the air of Jind and Manesar remained in 'very severe' and 15 cities in 'severe' category.

The air in six cities remained in the poor category. Panchkula air was satisfactory with 111 AQI. The air of Delhi, which has been running in the very poor category for the last two days, slipped to the severe category on Tuesday. Average air quality index has increased in other cities of NCR. However, the wind remained in the very poor category. 

According to SAFAR, due to the slow speed of wind, the health of the air will start deteriorating from Tuesday night itself and its condition will be worse till Wednesday evening. Due to this, a blanket of smog is likely to prevail throughout the day on Wednesday. The health of the air is expected to improve after November 18. Bahadurgarh, Ballabhgarh, Bhiwani, Charkhidadri, Dharuhera, Faridabad, Gurugram, Fatehabad, Hisar, Mandikheda, Narnaul, Panipat, Rohtak, Sirsa and Sonipat. The AQI of these cities was in the range of 300 to 400.
