The program was formally inaugurated by Director, IIT Jammu, Prof. Manoj Singh Gaur who the Chief Guest and keynote speaker in the inaugural session. The session was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Kumar.
The program commenced with welcome address by Prof. Komal Kumar Bhatia, Dean Faculty of informatics and computing. Prof. Manjeet Singh, Chairperson of Department of Computer Applications, elucidated importance of this course for participants. He gave brief introduction about foremost topics covered by industry resource persons during the course.
Addressing the participants, Prof. Dinesh Kumar made them aware about the role of cloud computing in our daily life. After mentioning the benefits of mentioned topic, he gave insight about freedom of user from securely storing and maintaining huge amount of data at individual’s end He also appreciated the efforts made by Department for conducting the webinar encouraged them to follow the same zeal in future endeavours.
In his keynote address, Prof. Manoj Singh Gaur discussed about various concepts related to cloud computing and their significance in the area of research. He also shared many open research problems in this field for our research scholars. He explained various standard which are evolving for the implementation cloud computing in IT infrastructure. The eminent speaker shared his immense knowledge and emphasized the participants to work on cloud environment rather on simulation environment.
At the end, Dr. Sapna Gambhir gave vote of thanks to distinguished Chief Guest, Vice chancellor, Participants and other attendees on behalf of the departments. This event is convened by Dr. Sapna Gambhir and Dr. Parul Tomar.

Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad organized a week-long TEQIP-III sponsored Online Value Added Course on ‘Cloud Computing’.
